WHAT IS YOUR STORY?

I was born into the business. When I was born in 1973 my family lived above my grandfathers bar at Locke and King street.(Park Tavern) It’s the people, the relationships within the neighborhood that keep me going. It becomes a part of who you are.


WHAT DOES HAMILTON MEAN TO YOU?

Hamilton is still the city with the most potential to become whatever we want. Lots of opportunity.


WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT HAMILTON?

I love Hamiltonians. I can always tell if someone’s born and raised in Hamilton. They have a distinct character that I really don’t see anywhere else. Honesty, integrity…very proud citizens.


WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO FOCUS YOUR EFFORTS IN HAMILTON WEST?

Family Business.


WHAT RECENT CHANGE WITHIN HAMILTON WEST DO YOU THINK IS MOST SIGNIFICANT?

Innovation Park is such a huge investment to this area. The jobs it will continue to create will add tremendously to the neighborhood.


ARE YOU ORIGINALLY FROM HAMILTON? WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO STAY/MOVE HERE?

Yes I am! I’m a Hamiltonian forever.


WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MEMORY IN HAMILTON?

1987 Canada Cup. I was working at Copps Coliseum and got a behind the scene expereince having access to both the Canadian and Russian dressing rooms. Seeing all my heros in that situation was unbeleivable. Hamilton was the center of the universe for two weeks. Jackson Square felt like downtown New York City.
